CBMC Volunteer Opportunities

As you may be aware the CBMC ministry in Denver is run entirely by lay volunteers. The work we do is significant, it is fun, exciting, challenging and rewarding. The Lord knows all the fruit which continues to multiply. We believe He wants us to increase our efforts, now that we are operating on a solid foundation, that is, Jesus Christ. If He has placed a calling on your heart to help carry out His mission here in Denver then we are giving you an opportunity to faithfully respond to that calling. So please prayerfully consider how you may join us in all the fun, remembering that Jesus went to the cross for the "Joy set before Him." The following is a list of some of the areas in which we can use additional help.

Inviting seeker guests to the Outreach Functions
We have learned that the best way to get people to come is to first build some trust with them, pray and then keep asking. Usually we need to ask at least four or five to get one to come. Don't get discouraged, people are busy, there is a spiritual battle going on, and they want to know that you really care for them and aren't just trying to sell them something.

Operation Timothy Bible Study
We need men and women willing to take young people in the Lord or seekers through this study. It is straightforward and easy to use. There is a wonderful leaders guide available. No experience is required only faithfulness. If you are still reluctant then we can team you up with someone with some experience. We have learned that the teacher gets at least as much of a blessing as the student!

Operation Timothy Bible Study Coordinator
Someone to keep track of those looking for a Bible study as well as those willing to lead the study. Helping to get the two together.

Golf Outreach
We want to put together a golf outreach event and have no experience. Are there any of you willing to do some leg work, have some ideas to make this fun and successful, know a well known golf pro that could speak, or how to perhaps get us on the private "Sanctuary Golf Course"?

CBMC Forum
A new CBMC ministry aimed at companies' top executives who want to learn how to apply biblical principles to their business. This might include small support discussion groups which meet monthly, resource material, a moderator, and networking with peers. Looking for individuals interested in helping get this off the ground. CBMC National has committed to come to Denver and help us out.

Tape Ministry
We have seen this part of our ministry really take hold. We are looking for individuals who would be willing to volunteer time in the following areas:
Taping of outreach messages (5 times per year, we have all the necessary equip).
Taping of the First Thursday Bible study messages (10 times per year).
Duplicating of all taped messages ( Approximately 2 hours per month required).Duplicating of all taped messages ( Approximately 2 hours per month required).
Mailing out of tape messages to those who have requested copies.
Storage, setup and maintenance of equipment.

Web Site Design and Maintenance
Currently we are paying to have the site designed. Need someone to help keep the sight updated. Should only require a little time once a month. Also would like someone to work at enhancing the site as new and improved ways of ministering via the Web are introduced.

Graphic Artist or Designer
To help make our outreach and inreach flyers more attention getting and effective. Also to aid in continuing to improve the attractiveness of our new Web Site.

Prayer Support
Our most critical function and the one that tells us we are really willing to connect with our Lord and have an intimate walk with Him. Please join us in praying that the Lord would continue to mold us for His purposes. Please join us at our Quarterly prayer retreats. Or better yet, ask to receive our monthly prayer request list and commit to pray regularly. If you check here we will send you all prayer notices.

Resource Center Coordinator
Someone to help organize, catalog, and keep in stock all our resource materials. This would include working with the tape ministry in order to help keep all the taped messages organized and available to those requesting copies.

Support Team Participants
We view weekly small group support teams as a critical element for anyone serious about ministering in the market place. They are a place for encouragement, fellowship, prayer, time in the Word, equipping for ministry, and a place to intimately experience God working through His body. Don't miss out.

Servant Leaders
Training/Coaching is available to those willing to help form and guide new CBMC support teams. We are looking for individuals living or working in the West Denver, Broomfield/Boulder, and Aurora areas.
